Thinking about how my relationship with my ex had many red flags but one that irked me the most is that I would recommend so many films to him that I knew he’d like (moonlight, handmaiden) and he never made the time to watch them
People that are like “climate change is worsening and all of humanity is going to deserve it” should realize how kind of evil and insane of a thing that is to say
Like, no actually, the masses of people in the world that are impoverished, homeless, poor and working paycheck to paycheck to survive, plus the masses of indigenous folks, POC, queer and religious minorities trying to survive the trauma of generations of industrialization & colonization DON’T deserve to go extinct over the actions of a few dozen oil executives and an economic system we have no control over, especially when we’re doing all that we can for a safer healthier planet wtf
The lives of 7 billion humans do not deserve extinction over the actions of very few oil companies destroying the planet, don’t say shit like that.

y'all talk about only children being bad at conflict resolution but have you ever met a white person?
white people will get gently called out on their racist behavior and will cry about how they dislike confrontation and will “step back” to “reflect” while ultimately not doing anything to change their racist views and behavior
[Image description: A 6-image gifset from Betty of the title sequences of each episode. First gif, Indigo writes the word Betty in the fog of a blue tinged glass. Second gif is of a foot knocking over a wine bottle, the word Betty is written on the wine bottle in cursive writing. Third gif, someone walking across a dark and empty warehouse, there is a puddle on water and ‘Betty’ is reflected in the lights. Fourth gif, a foot cast is thrown into the bin and 'Betty’ is written on the cast in the style of hand drawn bubble art. Fifth gif, people are skating on ramps inside a graffiti church, the camera focuses on a large graffiti saying 'Betty’. Sixth gif is a close up of a phone on the ground. On the screen is an instagram live, various members of the cast are commenting “BETTY”. End description]
I think this was an AWESOME convo to have about how boys can try to engage with feminism but if they do so with the lens of toxic masculinity, starting a fight with the man harassing Indigo rather than checking in on her.
[Image ID: Six screenshots from Betty, depicting a conversation between Kirt and a group of boys after they had beaten someone up. A boy says, ‘But he was stalking your homegirl’. Kirt replies, 'Exactly, my homegirl. Um, did anyone check on her? Did anybody even ask Indigo if she was okay? None of you’. The boys look ashamed. Kirt continues, 'After all these lessons, you didn’t even pay attention to the woman in the situation’. End description]
So, when doing image IDs, I have a tendency to use templates! Having templates for image IDs can save a lot of time and be super helpful if writing everything from scratch just isn’t something that’s convenient or possible, plus if you wanna start doing image IDs but don’t really know where to start, editing from templates is a good way to practice in my opinion! Here are the ones I use! Just paste them in and edit as much or little as necessary.
